It was a privilege for team FWAID to Welcome Her Excellency Dr. Maimona Khalil, Secretary General, Council of Family Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad.

Our discussion focused on the critical role of women-led organizations in advancing inclusive development, strengthening women’s leadership, and creating opportunities for women and girls to participate fully in social, economic, and public life.

Her Excellency appreciated the work and leadership of Frontier Women Alliance for Inclusive Development (FWAID) in promoting the rights and empowerment of women, particularly women with disabilities and those from marginalized communities.we were deeply encouraged by her gracious invitation to visit the Council of Family Affairs in Riyadh to further explore opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge on women’s empowerment and inclusive development.

The visit also reflected the growing recognition of Pakistan’s commitment to advancing women’s leadership through international dialogue and partnerships. We commend the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Human Rights for providing a valuable platform that brought together distinguished leaders from across the OIC Member States to shape a more inclusive future for women.

Together, through collaboration and shared commitment, we can continue to advance equality, inclusion, and sustainable development across our region.
