It is a proud moment to witness Pakistan showcasing its leadership in advancing women’s empowerment through digital and financial inclusion on the global stage at the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women.

During the session on “Bridging Gender Gaps in Technology and Digital Participation,” Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), highlighted Pakistan’s remarkable progress in transforming one of the world’s largest social protection programmes into a platform for digital financial inclusion for women. This reflects a strong national commitment to empowering women through technology, financial autonomy, and investments in health, nutrition, and education.

As Frontier Women Alliance for Inclusive Development (FWAID), we are proud to witness Pakistani women leaders shaping global conversations and demonstrating that inclusive policies can create lasting opportunities for millions of women and girls.

As we celebrate these achievements, we also reaffirm that the future of digital transformation must be inclusive by design ensuring that women and girls with disabilities, those in rural and underserved communities, and all marginalized groups have equal access to technology, digital skills, and financial services.
