Team Frontier Women Alliance for Inclusive Development led by Chief Executive had the the opportunity to engage in a productive meeting with the Chairperson KP Commission on the Status of Women, Madam Sumera Shams.
The discussion focused on the current landscape of women’s economic empowerment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa particularly Hazara Division,identifying potential areas of collaboration, and exploring practical pathways for creating sustainable economic opportunities,at the grassroots and district levels. We reflected on how community-based initiatives, civil society organizations, and district-level committees established by the Commission can collectively play a transformative role in strengthening local economic systems and ensuring inclusive empowerment.
Madam Sumera Shams graciously acknowledged the role of FWAID as the first women-led organization from the Hazara Division, and emphasized the importance of strengthening and scaling similar women-led initiatives across the province. She assured full institutional support and highlighted the value of mutual collaboration through knowledge-sharing and strengthening thematic areas of shared interest.
The Chairperson also encouraged our team to formally submit proposals and initiate joint work with the Commission—an important step toward translating dialogue into action.
We look forward to building a meaningful partnership with the KP Commission on the Status of Women to advance women’s economic rights and opportunities across KP.
